Gordon Higginson was born on the 17th November 1918 in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. From an early age Gordon was taught to develop mediumship by his mother Fanny Higginson who was also a great medium in her own right.
From the age of twelve Gordon Higginson stood platform till he passed into spirit himself in January 1993. An incredible 62 years of service to Spiritualist churches.
Gordon also had the distinction of being the longest serving President of the Spiritualists' National Union, over 23 years from 1970 to 1993. He devoted much of his life to Spiritualism, becoming a Minister of the SNU as well as a teacher of mediumship
and also Principal of the Arthur Findlay College at Stansted Hall.
